Louis Donald: A 'rule of thumb guide' to hindquarter angulation in the German Shepherd Dog. A notation - we say ''over angulation''. In that context, the increased angulation is the external angle, not the internal angle. Seen here, 225° > 255° i.e. overangulated by 30 degrees.  8/10 and better than most. To clarify - this image comes from an article Linda Shaw and I wrote on locomotion where dogs got a score out of 10 for locomotion - it's not body proportions.  |
