LEGADO & ERNA
A Little Bit of Destiny here ... Some dogs are planned long before they ever arrive, and some simply find their way into your life. Erna and Legado are a little bit of both.
Erna was a girl we fell in love with before we ever met her. We watched her from thousands of miles away, following her journey in Germany and waiting for the day we could finally see her for ourselves.
And when that day finally came, there was no question. She was everything we thought and never in million years we believe, that she could be ours. Till that one day, the unimaginable happened, and we came to the opportunity for her to become ours, soon - Lucie flew to Germany and she was coming home to us.
Legado was different.
We weren't looking for him at all. We actually just purchased another male - very promising puppy. Therefore, he came into our lives unexpectedly, at a time when we weren't planning to add another male to our program. Yet, from the very beginning, there was something about this little puppy, that was impossible to ignore. We believe the Lord put him in our path for a reason, and we simply listened.
Two dogs. Two very different beginnings. And somehow, they ended up here together. Well, not somehow - we submitted these decision to Jesus and obeyed. That is what makes this breeding so special to us.
Erna has always been a very special girl.
She is breathtaking, driven, and gracious. Watching her story unflod has been one of the great joys of our journey. She went on to earn SG2 World Vice-Siegerin in 2022, V6 at the BSZS World Championship in 2023 along with her IGP1-3 titles, breed survey, then after she came to King Of Zion, under Lucie's leadership she earned V1 USCA South Central Regional Siegerin in 2025, and VA2 National Vice-Siegerin in the USA in 2025, and later on earning lifetime breed survey.
But as proud as we are of everything she has accomplished, those titles are only one part of Erna's story. For us, she is simply our girl. Especially Lucie and Erna are inseparable.
Her pedigree is another reason we believed in her from the very beginning.
Erna is the daughter of V Karlson von der Wilden Dreizehn and V Wanika vom Rumbachtal. Through Karlson, she carries the influence of our all time favorite VA Zitan v. Repitition and VA Griz von der Wilden Dreizehn. Through her mother, her pedigree continues through VA Henko vom Holtkamper Hof and VA Flame Margman. Generation after generation, her pedigree brings together dogs known for beautiful structure, movement, working ability, and strong character.
And Legado. ?
His story will always be one of those stories we tell with a smile.
As we mentioned ... He wasn't planned. He wasn't something we were searching for. He was simply a little puppy, who came into our lives, and we knew he belonged here.
From the beginning, Legado showed us exactly - who he was. Confident, joyful, willing, fearless - and always ready to work. He has always had a way of making us smile, whether he was carrying a tug toy through the house or standing beside us on the training field, ready for whatever came next.
Over the years, Legado has earned his own accomplishments, including VP1 National GSDCA Sieger Show 2022, VP1 USCA Regional Sieger 2023, SG4 USCA National Sieger Show 2023, SG1 USCA Regional Sieger 2024, and V4 USCA Region 2026, together with his working titles all the way to IGP1 and breed survey - all trained, developed and managed by Lucie with Alonzo's support. But again, the titles aren't what make Legado special.
His heart does.
He loves his people.
He loves to work.
He loves to love.
And he gives everything he has.
His pedigree carries another remarkable story. Legado is the son of VA Chap vom Hanneß and V8 Sieger Show Czech Republic Erynne Best of the Gods. Through Chap, he carries the famous VA Nero von Ghattas family, while his maternal side brings the influence of VA Zigo von Regina Pacis and generations of proven working and Sieger bloodlines.
Together, Erna and Legado bring generations of exceptional German Shepherds into one pedigree with many of the same qualities we value so deeply. And now their story continues ... We expect puppies with beautiful structure, strong movement, intelligence, confidence, balanced drives, and loving temperaments.
But more than anything, we hope they inherit the qualities that cannot be measured by a title.
The ability to love deeply.
The desire to work with their person.
The confidence to face the world.
And the loyalty, that makes a German Shepherd not simply a dog, but a member of the family.
As always, our goal is not simply to produce puppies. Our goal is to preserve and improve this incredible breed, while bringing joy to the families, who trust us with one of our dogs. Erna and Legado remind us that sometimes the most meaningful parts of our journey are the ones we couldn't have planned.
