There is a particularly beautiful story behind this pairing: Daenerys brings the extraordinary Marcello/Ian/Gavin bloodlines, while Luigi brings the vom Türkenkopf family through Uri and Emy.
There is something very special about bringing together two dogs, whose stories began so differently, yet whose qualities complement one another so beautifully. Luigi vom Türkenkopf and Daenerys aus Mecklenburg. We have been blessed to watch both of these dogs develop, prove themselves, and become important parts of our journey with at King Of Zion German Shepherds. And now, we are incredibly excited to see, what happens, when these come together.
Daenerys has always been a very special girl to us.
She was our first all-black long coat German Shepherd, something Alonzo had dreamed about for a long time. When we finally found the perfect litter in Germany, we knew we were bringing to our kennel something very special. We had great hopes for this little black girl - and we are blessed and happy that she proved us right.
Danny has gone on to earn V1 Mid-Central USCA Regional Show 2024, SG4 National Czech Sieger Show 2023, VP4 National USCA Show 2022, and VP5 National GSDCA Sieger Show 2022, along with her IGP1, BH-VT, AD, WB and KKL (breed survey). But for us, her story has always been about much more than titles.
Her pedigree is one of the reasons - we believed in her from the beginning.
Danny is the daughter of VA2 Marcello vom Legends Team, the legendary, famous all-black long coat male, who became the first all-black long coat to earn a VA rating at the World Championship. Marcello is a son of 2x VA1 Ian vom kleinen Zauberberg, bringing one of the most recognizable families of modern German Shepherds directly into Danny's pedigree.
And then there is her motherline.
Danny's dam is V8 BSZS 2021 Tinka aus Mecklenburg, IGP3 and LBZ, daughter of VA Gavin vom Hasenborn and later linking to V Hugh vom Eichenplatz. Tinka herself earned her V8 rating at the 2021 World Championship, and through her, Danny carries the influence of Gavin, Willas vom Grafenbrunn, Urta vom Hasenborn, Hugh vom Eichenplatz and the beautiful old aus Mecklenburg family.
So when we look at Daenerys, we don't simply see a beautiful black long coat female.
We see generations.
We see Marcello. Ian. Gavin. Hugh, Willas.
We see the work of breeders, who came before us and the qualities they carefully passed forward.
And then there is Luigi.
Luigi came to us during the fall of 2023, and from the moment he got out of the car, he acted as if he had always belonged here. Those are the moments we remember, because sometimes a dog simply feels like he was meant to be part of our journey and us to be his.
Luigi is a strong-minded, protective, driven boy, he is powerful, striking pigmentation, and the kind of dark mask that immediately catches your eye. He has earned V2 USCA 2025 Regional Vice-Sieger, National Champion SG1 GSDCA Sieger Show 2024, SG1 USCA 2024 Regional Sieger, and SG1 NPDC Club Show Fall 2023, along with his AD, BH-VT, WB, IGP1 and KKL. And what is some of the most exciting part behind all these initial? His credentials were earn under leadership of Lucie and Alonzo. All of his IGP titles were earner after 18 month of working along the side wiht Lucie as. a team, hours and hours of training together.
Luigi has sired many litters, and he imparts great deal of himself to his puppies.
His pedigree is equally meaningful.
Luigi is the son of V27 BSZS Uri vom Türkenkopf, IGP2 and V Emy v. Dan Alhedy's Hoeve, IGP1, LBZ. Uri brings the influence of VA Vaiko vom Suentelstein IPO3, LBZ (son of VA Fred vom Rumbachtal) and Fly von der Zenteiche, while Emy descends through Figo von der Werther-Mühle, Hugh vom Eichenplatz and Yuma von der Werther-Mühle.
And this is where this breeding becomes especially exciting to us.
We are bringing together the Marcello / Ian / Gavin family carried by Daenerys with the Uri / Emy / Türkenkopf family blended with Vaiko/ Fred carried by Luigi.
Different families.
Different histories.
But so many of the same qualities we value.
