For Alonzo and I - last weekend was the biggest weekend for King Of Zion German Shepherds“To-Date” and for Narrow Path Dog Club as well. Event with 104 dogs overall. 13 entries being ours. 6x Breed Surveys, 2x IGP1, 1x BH-VT and 4 in show … with two young litters on the ground and one litter born that Friday night of the event. We whelped till 5am Saturday… I asked Jesus many times - why this timing … I think he wanted us to know better, what we are capable of … Circumstances and our goals BLENDED TOGETHER … in a way … that - to say this was an increasingly challenging task - still feels as an understatement … We have approached this season with great DISCIPLINE… and I am thankful that the man beside me - puts his head down with me together and we go … we watched what we eat, what we drink, we protected our rest and sleep … managed our time down to every hour close to a minute … we have always been organized and focused on excellence, but this time it felt like getting ready for the Olympics. Top of mind - our mental and physical performance. Same with the dogs. Comfort was set aside. Do what is needed. Feeling a great responsibility towards our event participants, our team, the judges, and the pressure and stress with the dream to accomplish our goals … knowing the time and work that was invested - not to mention financial cost. If I would describe my nerves going into the weekend, it was like a really really tight string on a guitar, that is pressed and tight as far as it can be, but I am happy to say that once that string was played, it did not break. One thing that I am so very proud of - and - … what fills my heart the most - is - … to be breeder that trains own dogs (HOT / BHOT) and develops them. Leading our own dogs to breed survey. The cost is great, the reward even greater We have had an incredible success and we are grateful. There are many to say THANK YOU to! Thank you to all who have supported us and the event - whether leading up to it or last minute offering a hand … There is a hand full of people, that are the core FOUNDATION of our events and preparation and without those, this truly would not be possible and executed as such. Randall, Thank you to you and Amanda for allowing us to use your space and for all the support. Our events are hosted on your field, that is always ready in a pristine condition. You gave us your word and you always deliver. Your word is true and we can always count on you. What a treasure. … And on a personal note - you have been guiding us on the IGP journey … you answer million of my phone calls after my training sessions at home and you’re the one who held our hand step-by-step to get to our tittles to be earned as HOT (Handler, Owner, Trainer) and I can’t say enough, how much that means to me as a breeder. Autumn, you are an absolute rockstar. The amount of work to have invested in this weekend making sure we are in documentation compliance - only a few know. This hours of work and paying attention to details. Your administrative talent is admirable. Not to mention your craft with photography. Thank you for all your support. Josh… you have trained with us, stood and had many discussions what to do, how to do, how can we help our dogs move over obstacles, little tweak here and there … and we made it. We made it with you. Thank you for your helper work and always making it about the dog. Your hard work is so easy to see and we know our dogs are safe with you. Thank you! Angie … thank you for taking on the role of WB Lead. These pups are so lucky to have you! You make it so much fun for them and make the process run smooth. And thank you for all your support with the catalog. Brad … what can we say … beside Randall, you are a rock on the training field for me. When I need help - when I get stuck - when my dog and I don’t click - I turn around - and you are there. Ready to help. Ready to watch, give suggestion, help the dog … and during our events - you are one we can always count on … thank you. Lora … Jesus brought us together on days - that were ordained by him. The days of my training struggles - when I had missing pieces - you were there - saw the holes in the training and helped my plunged tune up. And we did it. And thank you for your partnership with hosting Heart Of Texas IGP Trial. So glad it all worked out … Basti - we had a great break-thru during your visit with the work we put into our dogs daily. Thank you for your support and pushing to work. And last and most the biggest thing you goes to ALONZO … Not many know this … but you were actually the one who - years ago - set the expectation - of who King Of Zion Dog is and since then - we have pressed to live up to it. Love of my life … without you …. none of this would be possible. What is next? REST … and then - going back to the drawing board … take a few steps back and see where can we improve. Where is our training strong and weak. Fill the holes. The boys will train for IGP2 as both of them have it in them to accomplish and our young dogs take priority to get them ready for next IGP and show season. Slowly though. Our days will slow down now. And we take a deep breath in this new season we are excited about … And on a personal note … my goal is to work on mental capacity during these events. To be BETTER. The study of high performance athletes and their mental development begins ******* 2025 USCA SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL BREEDING EVALUATION AND BREED SURVEY & 2025 NPDC SPRING IGP TRIAL Thank you Abbie, Thomas and Shannon for amazing presentation and handling of our dogs in the ring. JESUS IS KING
